Elder & Trustee

Simon grew up locally in Catford, although he spent his secondary school years in Trinidad and Barbados. He returned to South East London with his family to complete his A levels at Askes in New Cross. Simon grew up in a Christian home and trusted Jesus for himself as a young teenager. He studied Mechanical Engineering but has been working in the field of sustainability for over 25 years. He is married to Louise, and they have 3 grown up children together. They were founding members of GCB as they have a big heart for the Brockley area and wanted to see a diverse church planted here, committed to loving God and loving neighbour.  Simon is also on the board of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity (LICC). He is passionate about how his faith connects to issues around green policy, ethnic diversity, and contemporary issues.
